Sweet Caroline

1. We enjoyed another fabulous weekend at home last weekend. My parents came over Friday night and we went on a long boat ride and went tubing. Even my mom participated in the fun :). We had some friends come spend the night Saturday and we had a full lake day ....the best. And on Sunday.... we were seriously the laziest ever. It is SO rare for us to do that on a weeken day in the summer... but every once in a while, much needed. We were couch potatoes and all enjoyed naps. It was pretty awesome.  2. The kids went to church camp this week and finished up swim lessons. It was a busy week! I'm SO happy with their swimming ability. Much needed for lake living.  3. Toddler convos: I'm not good about writing down funny little conversations but this one took place this morning with Mikey.... g was getting really interested and asking a lot of questions to Mikey about his job and how he made money.  Daddy: " G, what do you want to be when you grow up? A banker like daddy?" G

Oh what a weekend!! My high school besties and I jumped in the car and drove NINE hours to Ohio to finally go see where our northern girl now resides :-). I've been up to Ohio twice but it's been almost 10 years since I've gone!! And I flew. That drive was intense! But made much better by the fact I was with my four best friends and we could all switch out driving and of course the non stop talking and laughing.  We had the BEST time. Seriously. A weekend I'll never forget. Love all of these girls with my whole heart, and absolutely love how we've stayed so close.💗

We had another fantastic family weekend in the low country. It was just us and my parents this weekend, but we still managed to have lots of fun!! Thank goodness the forecast was wrong bc we ended up having two gorgeous days... and hot ones!! We celebrated our boys turning three, actual birthday was Saturday. And we did what we always do on summer weekends in the low country....ate too much, swam, beached it via the boat... making our way to Hilton head one day and harbor island the next... took golf cart rides, fished, and played!!!  It really was the best summer weekend.  Putting my babies down for the last time as two year olds :-(   What we got them for their birthday!!
