So much to be thanfukl for.

Well, we've eaten till we couldn't eat anymore and we enjoyed some quality family time. I feel so incredibly thankful for the many blessings in my life, but mostly for my amazing husband, three healthy kids, and the best family. We celebrated with my family Wednesday night... Had a mostly lazy, relaxing Thanksgiving day... And then got to hang out with Mikey's family that night.  T H A N K F U L

Weekend rewind

We (I) had a very low key weekend. Friday night was spent playing and being silly with the kiddos.   Mikey was up early and headed out to the Carolina/Citadel game... Although he's a gamecock fan... He's still a citadel grad and his blood bleeds blue. So he was pretty stoked/obnoxious after that win Saturday. Our poor gamecocks, a little sad to be so bad! We had a little war going over the boys' outfits! Colls and I headed downtown for a little mommy/daughter date while the boys napped with a sitter. We watched my high school win its 11th state championship in cheerleading! They are phenomenal. Then we did some furniture shopping. I think this is going to be our Chrismtas present this year! I'm in love... Except the posts on the footboard come off... I'll keep them off. After the game Satueday, the guys came back to our house and we had a low key hangout. In bed by 10! Yes! Sunday called for church, brunch and naps! It

The Friday five

1. Girls nights are good for the soul. We celebrated three birthdays last night! We've started meeting later so it doesn't take away time from our babies... So it was a later night than normal for me, but well worth it! Love these girls and love these nights.  2. I think I've finally found some fabrics for Collins' room! Her walls are mint greens and the ceiling is coral and white stripes. I love the paisley because it incorporates both the coral and mint... As well as other fun colors! Yay! 3. I am having a low key/do nothing weekend and I'm pretty excited about it!  I say I, because Mikey is going to the Carolina / Citadek football game and I'm staying home with the kids. It's been a long time since we've had no plans both Friday and Saturday night!  4. My babysitter taught me how to cuff my jeans. Made me feel so old. I told you fashion wasn't my thing;-) 5. It's Friday!!!! Xoxo

On doing life.

*another post for the archives…one that I’ll probably look back on and laugh one day, but nonetheless....  I like to jot down how “shit goes down” …for lack of a better phrase;-)   I constantly get “how do you do it?” ….like, all the time.  I get it, we go A LOT.  But, I’m not supermom.  There are a LOT of mama’s out there way busier than me and with more kids than me! But, still… some people seem to be amazed at how we run as a family.  I do chuckle at the amount of “older” women that are totally shocked that I work with three small children.  It’s like they are thinking, “oh the horror, why isn’t she at home tending to her kids and baking pies?”  And yes, that’s a joke.  All stay at home moms know that ISN’T how life is as a stay at home mama, but I swear that’s the impression some women give me.  I guess it’s just that generations way of thinking…that a young mom with young kids belongs at home….so when they find out I work full time and do as much as we do…they just don’t get it.

Weekend rewind

I so wish I had time to actually write about cool, exciting things going on... But, the reality is I'm lucky to get these posts cranked out. I'm not a fashion designer, I'm not an interior designer, I'm not trying to reinvent the "lifestyle" blog wheel... There's just sooo many out there already that are great... What's the point in trying to write about the same stuff a million other people are?! So, my little blog remains solely a (boring-ish) online scrapbook. So be it... Friday night we had a FUN birthday roast for a friend. We got a little fancy and had a nice night out with our people.  Saturday, we were crazy! We took all three kids to the Carolina football game! It actually went better than I thought... But not something I'm itching to do again for a while ;-). We made it till halftime and then headed home and stayed in our pjs for the rest of the day! I can't even recall the last time that's happened on a Sa

Weekend rewind

Not much time to post this week... But need to document. This past weekend we headed to Charleston for Mikey's 10 year reunion. Fun times. A fun night out downtown, an allll day tailgating event, and by Sunday I was beyond ready to get back to my babies!! I'm getting too old for weekends like this ;-) My boogers had lots of fun with the grandparents while we were gone! And my girl got to have a play date with her (and my) bestie!! Happy hump day!

The Glenn twins: 16 months

16 months! Thomas:  WALKING! Yay!  T started walking (first steps, etc.) a little before 15 months and he now walks everywhere!!!  HOORAY! T talks a lot as well, and can say the following: daddy (on repeat, ALL the live long day…hands down his favorite person on earth) mama, di-ney (Disney) ball, geen (green), hello, bye, just to name a few.  T’s still our little bruiser:)  He’s independent and doesn’t care to be cuddled or loved on much…he much prefers to be MOVING and doing things! Graham:  FINALL took his first step this weekend!  YAY!  G has always been a bit behind T on “milestones” which we all know doesn’t really matter; it’s just the way their bodies/minds decide to do something! G is finally getting the courage to “walk” and I’m sure over the next month he will be taking off just like his brother!  G is still our most loving and cuddly baby and I am his favorite person on earth:)  You can hear him saying mama the most! He isn’t quite as verbal yet, but again…is gettin

Weekend rewind

I swear it feels like I write these posts every three days. Time just flies.  Lots of Halloween fun this weekend... And some lazy time too;-) My bestie moved into a new, beautiful house recently... So we took dinner down there Friday night to hang out and see their new digs. The kids enjoyed each other's company as well! We had the 2nd annual Go Leo Go race Saturday morning. Celebrating the bravest two year old i know! Leo, the lion dressed as TMNT. So awesome!! The guys participated in bubble ball!  We came home and took naps and hung out for the rest of the day. It's always so nice when we have some down time.  Of course, Saturday night was spent trick or treating! We had quite the crew.  And then Sunday was spent church-ing, lunch-ing, and a little shopping before nap time. Mikey's mom came over Sunday afternoon and we celebrated her birthday with Mikey's bro and his fiancĂ©. The best pic we got! Happy Monday! Xoxo
