She ROLLS and an update dump.

WHEW!  That's how I feel right now...talk about a LOT going on in our lives...it's officially NUTS in the Glenn household.

We had a FABULOUS Memorial Day Weekend with friends.  That's a whole other post, as soon as I get a chance to upload photos.

So...we have officially started the de-swaddle process for Collins.  She rolled over Tuesday morning for the first time...yay for milestones!!  *the first time rolling over from her back to her stomach, May 29*  Girlfriend did all this IN HER SWADDLE without the use of her ARMS.  I don't get how babies can do that.  But, she did. Thankfully, I was awake because she did it after she had been stirring around for a few minutes and I watched her roll over on the monitor and was able to go in there right away and get her.  She did it again during her nap, so we knew we had to get rid of the swaddle ASAP.  We tried it last Thursday night just to see what would happen and she was fine for the first hour but once she woke up she couldn't go back to sleep and cried for a while.  Since we were going out of town all weekend, I didn't want to start then.  So we waited until last night. I was/am still preparing myself for no sleep, "they" (you know...the professionals) say typically that it takes babies about three nights to adjust to changes.  Mikey and I decided we would just sacrifice this week and NOT complain one bit about it because we really haven't had ANY sleepless nights with this girl...she's been sleeping 10 hours a night since she was about 7 weeks old.  *PRAISE THE LORD* I was prepared last night, and well...sweet girl ended up being perfectly fine until about 4:45 am.  Pretty impressed.  She even moved around during the night and coughed a few times but that didn't wake her enough to bother her that she wasn't confined anymore.  Around 4:45 she started crying and I let her cry for a bit then gave her a paci to soothe her and she was fine.  Then, I guess the paci fell out and she started crying again...we let her cry it out for about 10 minutes and then Mikey got up and rocked her back to sleep and she was golden until I woke her around 7:30.  Not too bad for the first night...way to go baby girl:)  I know these next few nights could still be bad, but I was very happy with how she did last night.

However....I am still on a CAFFEINE high this morning...because even though Collins was sleeping, I WAS NOT.  BOO!  We took my parents to see our "house" that we are looking at buying last night and we are seriously considering making an offer and I just had a lot of anxiety/ideas/thoughts running thru my head all night long.  I get like that...I can't cut my mind off sometimes, so I only got about two hours of sleep, YUCK.

I'm torn because my parents/Mikey think I am CRAZY to do what all I want to do to the house right away because it is move in ready/nice kitchen...but it's just not my style/color choices.  So ...we will see.  I may just do some painting (cabinets and all walls) and wait on some other stuff.  The house is too good of a deal in the neighborhood we REALLY want to be in to pass it up.

Between our house selling and dealing with appraisals, the home inspection and fixing some things...looking at houses to buy, having our rental house on the market...I'm a TAD overwhelmed right now.  I know this will all pass quickly, but goodness gracious is it exhausting! Not to mention we are now ONE month away from closing and I have a whole house to pack up!  EEEKKKK!!!    I'm not going to let packing ruin our summer weekends either.  I refuse.

Also, I haven't forgotten about my "weigh in wednesdays"...yeah...being so busy lately I haven't gotten to the gym much and we have been eating out a TON, but I am still down about another pound over the past couple of weeks...and now just kinda staying put on the scale lately.  Not mad, but not happy.

Okay, that's enough rambling for now.  As usual, here are a few recent pics of our sweet monkey!  (What good is a  post without pictures, right!?!)

So happy!
 She loves tummy time!
Pondering life's great mysteries while she sleeps....hehe:)

2019 family Village Creek trip

Our 2019 summer family vacation was everything I could have asked for, and more!  This year, my parents and nephew joined us for the week so we had extra fun!  (and extra chaos of course, too!)  We did ALL the things, but yet also did ALL the relaxing.  We arrived on G and T's actual, bday so we started our trip with a special birthday lunch in downtown Beaufort with just the boys since Collins rode down with my mom.  We also finally experienced the drive in movie that night for Toy Story 4 and it was AWESOME!  We only had one day of cloudy weather so that was awesome!  We ventured to Bohicket Marina, Harbor Town, Harbor Island, Edisto Island, Botany Bay, our favorite sandbar AND downtown Beaufort by boat, we had a ball!   My dad got some AMAZING fireworks and we had a little show for the culdesac, so much fun!!  Mikey and I even got to sneak out one night for a date night, headed to our fav, Sal

My Pinterest inspired master bedroom makeover part one.

The BEFORE pictures. I've been itching to re-do my master bedroom for quite some time now. I am one of those people that likes to re decorate quite often...unfortunately for my bank account. Mikey's mom bought him a full queen sized bedroom suite when he graduated college, which was wonderful. It is very nice furniture and has served us well. But, I am SOOO sick of all the dark matchy-matchy look it brings. I will use this furniture again in a guest bedroom one day...but for now, it's time to retire it from my master. All of my bedding and rug I had previously...I've now had this zebra/brown/green theme for almost 4 years...so over it! Fortunately for us...my brother and SIL got a new bed...so what do we get?? Their old KING size bed!! Woohoo. I do NOT like for people to touch me when I sleep, I need my space...I've been wanting a king for so long. Even though our room isn't the biggest the king is working out okay...we aren't going to be in this h

These are the days.

Goodness gracious, I LOVE summer.  I talk it to death every year, but it is especially important to me during this season of life where the school year brings homework/schedules/strict bed times/extra curricular craziness- I appreciate the LAZY days of summer EVEN MORE. I've tried to be intentional about taking a half day here and there to soak up TIME with my babies.  Because Lord knows, they aren't babies for long.  (Yes, I'm referring to my 7 and 5 year olds as babies- #cantstopwontstop ) When we returned from our anniversary trip, we got back early on a Tuesday and used the rest of the day to spend quality family time together.  We took the kids to a local water park, this was all of our first time visiting- and we had a ball!   That same week, my girl and I dressed up and attended her very first company banquet for dance, too much fun!  Lake days with friends are sooooo good for me- we've so enjoyed many of them this summer
