SC Strong.

Oh, my heart.  For any of my readers NOT in South Carolina….I hope you have seen on the news the devastation our state received last weekend.  Never in a million years did I think the flooding would be that bad.  It is truly heartbreaking to see such widespread ruin in our beautiful state, however, I have never been PROUDER to be a South Carolinian.  I don’t know how other states have reacted to tragedy of this level, but I can tell you one thing, South Carolina has STEPPED UP. Social media is a CONSTANT update on who needs what/where.  It is truly amazing to witness.  My heart goes out to all of the families and business owners who have lost so much and I dearly hope they are able to rebuild their lives, hopes, dreams and hearts.    There is still a HUGE need in our state….for manpower to help clean up, for supplies,  for love.  If you’d like to contribute please do so, I like to give to those who help support those directly in need:...

Weekend rewind

We had a good, fun family weekend. The annual Okra Strut festival was last weekend (yes, it's a festival based off of okra)... We enjoyed ourselves very much!  Friday night we went to check out the festivities for just an hour ...food vendors (including delish fried okra), bands, rides for the kids and more.  Waiting on the shuttle.  Silly selfies with T Riding the tilt a whirl with my girl  On her own;-) Saturday morning is always the parade, and my girl was riding in it for the first time this year with her dance studio. The weather wasn't too good... But we made do. Of course, my shy girl wouldn't ride the float without her mama... But they ended up needing a few more adults to ride with the little girls so it ended up working out... Although I did NOT intend on riding in the parade. The things we do for our babies:-) Saturday night was spent at my in laws... Mikey's family was all in town, so we had a low key night hanging out.  Sunday was full of naps, erra...

Weekend rewind

This past weekend, 12 of my best girls and I celebrated our TEN year college reunion at the beach. Wow! That'll make you feel old, huh?!  It was our ZTA girls beach weekend and it was FABULOUS! Of course, I missed my little people and their daddy... But a good girls weekend is good for the soul. I left work at 12 Friday and headed to get some snuggles with the kids before I was beach bound! A lot of girls had come down the night before... By the time I got there they were ready to come off the beach... So we headed for one of our faves, Poe's on Sullivans Island.  After a couple hours there, we came back and had girl talk in the big front yard, so fun.  We had dinner reservations at the Obstinate Daughter (on Sullivans) and it was absolutely delicious. Like, super yummy.  We all stayed up too late, but gosh we had the best time. Saturday was beach day!! It was kinda rocky in the morning but by lunch time it was gorgeous. 12 girlfriends sitting on the beach, talking, ...

On being "done"

Ah…the BIG question.   Actually, when you have three kids so young and close together, i.e. twins… you don’t really get the question “are you done?”…it’s more like… “You are done, right?”  It actually really annoys me… maybe I’m not, what do you care?  Of course, I always just laugh it off.  The first six months of the boys’ life, I would always respond “oh yes, hahaha” in other words, just leave me alone I’m trying to enjoy hanging out with my kids and I don’t need a stranger peppering me with questions about my family’s future.     I just don’t feel “done”….I’m not ready to  not  have a baby anymore, I’m not okay with G and T being  it , I feel too young to be done…so many reasons on why I don’t want to be done.  I know a lot of other mama’s probably go through this too, and I also know that the older my kids get my feelings may change.  But, as of right now I WANT ANOTHER BABY!  GASP!  I said it.  I have ...

Glenn family trip: part 3

We were quite active the last weekend of our trip.  The rest of my family came down and joined us.  We enjoyed a full boat day Saturday (well, after the boys got a morning nap) and it was gorgeous.  All of my kiddos LOVE the beach and LOVE being with their cousins, so we were in heaven.  I tried to take some pictures of the kids, but man is it hard at this age!  Another fun and crazy beach week in the books....can't wait to do it again next year! No smiles here, but I promise they loved it!  We headed downtown to watch the air show Sunday on our way out...and had a little impromptu photo session while there.  LOVE:)  After taking about 95 pictures, this was the BEST we got of all five.  Goodness!

Weekend rewind

We had another good weekend, lots of snuggle time with the babies and we even got to go to the Carolina game! My MIL came in town for the weekend... We enjoyed a lovely boat ride and then headed to dinner on the water.  And here are some funny out takes when trying to take pictures of all three kiddos...Collins' face, I die.  We spent Saturday morning snuggling and playing. After lunch I took Collins and her bestie to a birthday party.  Mikey and I snuck away (thanks to my awesome MIL) and headed to the Carolina game late Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, we have another LONG season ahead as gamecock fans... Such is life.  We finally got back to church Sunday... Summers are bad for us... Need to work on that. And then we enjoyed a fun lunch outside bc the weather was beautiful!! We spent Sunday night at my grandparents house for a family dinner...always love when we are all together, although I have no pics to Document. Dang it.  Happy Monday! Xoxo

Three and a half.

My girl.   Goodness, I look at her now and just watch her grow up before my eyes. She’s turning into such a little girl now and not my baby….why does that have to happen?    Collins is shy, sweet, sassy, kind, cantankerous, caring, and opinionated all rolled into one!  All of her teachers (preschool and dance) tell me she is always so sweet and listens very well; I can totally see her being good in class…and following instructions, etc.  Those who know her really well know that a spirited side can come out too ;-)  She’s still the SWEETEST to her brothers and is constantly worried about them and loving on them.  Every blue moon she’ll get perturbed if they try and take one of her toys or something.   She’s really a good kid, most of the time.  We really don’t have a ton of tantrums (I’m sure I’ll get payback in full force with her brothers (really just Thomas, ha!)…she’s pretty even keeled for the most part, but she will pitch a fit ever...
