The Friday Five

1. Well, it's that time again!! Our cocks pulled out the W last night, although in typical cardiac cocks fashion. I always have mixed feelings about football starting... I LOVE college football, but it always signifies the end of summer and that's no good in my book.  2. We are BEAUFORT bound for a long, relaxing family weekend after work and I'm so excited. We need a weekend off, and although going out of town doesn't really seem like taking a weekend "off"... It totally is for me. We relax, sleep late, nap, rock on the front porch and are generally pretty slow paced. I can't wait. 3. We had some fun family time this week. We finally upgraded Collins to a big girl bike and she was so excited!! 4. I got the cutest rompers from LOFT recently. I ordered the black for football season and liked it so much I had to get the turquoise too. I think they are very flattering on. 5. If any of my three readers ;-) are "at home work out" people, please let me...

14 months

Goodness, these boys.  They are going to give me a heart attack one day soon.  Collins was NOT a “into everything baby” at all…these boys on the other hand!?  ESPECIALLY Thomas…he’s also a climber, my heavens….#panicmode  I wanted to do a little update on my stinkers….  Man do these two make life so much fun.     THOMAS: WRECKING BALL.  Climber, into everything.  Makes me giggle every day.  Y’all, he is SUCH a stinker.  I couldn’t love this baby more…but HOLY, he’s going to spend a lot of time in the corner!!  I know he doesn’t really understand yet, and I think he’s trying to initiate play…but he pushes little Graham down and thinks it’s funny, he’s also constantly stealing toys/pacis/etc.  WHAT am I going to do with him?  He’s such the baby that goes to do something he KNOWS he’s not supposed to do…and you tell him no, and he keeps doing it with a big grin on his face!!  SERIOUSLY!  STINKER!  Tho...

Weekend rewind

Another weekend come and gone, and now here we are just days away from football season. It's all just too damn fast.  We had a great weekend that started off with a little Friday night lights action.  The cheerleaders invited the little girls from cheer camp to cheer on the field at half time so we met up with friends and headed to the game. When Collins first heard about this, she said she was NOT going on the field... And as the week went on she said she'd go on the field, but "mama, I just gonna stand there, k" I'm not gonna cheer but I'll go on the field." Ha! And that's exactly what she did!! I was just super proud of her for getting out there and actually going on the field, that was a big step for my shy girl!   This picture is so special to me, two of my best friends that cheered with me in high school... 15 years later going to watch our girls "cheer" at the same stadium.  Saturday morning started bright and early, because we were g...

A day in the life of the Glenn fam

I always enjoy reading other people’s posts like this…so I thought I’d pen what ours look like as well.  My disclosures😊 I work full time, this is what the majority of our days look like, but we are a family that likes to GO.  So, some days…this can vary greatly.  Some afternoons after work…we run errands and go out to eat, sometimes we go out in the boat, or we have a fun event to attend…you get the picture.    6 am : WAKE (ahem…this is a new thing, as in, it’s only happened a handful of times…I’m not even going to go there right now)  Most of the time, you can find me in bed until at least 7…I am NOT a morning person! 6:10-7 : WORK OUT (why I’m not going there….a whole other post for another day) 7:00-8  ish: shower/get kids up/ eat breakfast/play with the kids *Now that Collins just started back to preschool, Mikey will take her in the mornings and I’ll take the boys….I usually take all three kids if they are all going to Weezie’s (our caregiv...

Glenn family trip: part 2

During the week, it was just the five of us and my mom...(she's a teacher so pretty much lives at the beach during the summer!)  No need to write a novel...but we had such a good week.  We beached it a lot, obviously, we snuggled, we played, we chilled, we relaxed, we went to our annual dinner at Dockside and took some pics to prove it:)...and Mikey and I even enjoyed a DATE night thanks to my wonderful mama!!   My boys absolutely LOVE the beach  One of the million outtakes.......trying to get a picture of three kids, three and under!?  So hard! Sweet and sassy girl.  Love this pic of two of my boys.  My girl and me  Lolly and three of her babies.  Pure heaven...  the beach wears everyone out!  so happy at dinner!  G, too!  pizza date.  love her.  date night with my guy. Although it wasn't a "vacation" it truly was an unforgettable week....

Weekend rewind

Our summer weekends are winding down and I'm not too happy about it. We had a wonderful weekend at home.  We did nothing Friday night and it was bliss. We took a long walk and then let the boys play in the water table:-) We spent Saturday morning being lazy... Watching cartoons, playing and having nothing on the agenda was just what we needed. We headed out on the lake around 1:30 ... We met up with a good crowd and the kids had a ball playing!  Colls now asks for me to take her picture ;-) Sweet kiddos.  We came in around 5 and my awesome parents kept the kids for the night for us! I haven't slept in without kids in the house since my girls weekend in May! It was bliss!  We had a group of 10 take a fun sunset cruise and then do dinner on the lake.... Man, I'm going to miss these weekends!  Love these girls! Lazy Sunday afternoon. Love these three so.  Here's to another week! Xoxo
